  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 kg halal chicken (pieces)
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Oil for frying

For Cheesy Potato Wedges:

  • 3 large potatoes (cut into wedges)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Wash and clean the chicken, then marinate it in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and all spices.
  3. Remove chicken from marinade and coat well in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry chicken on medium heat until golden and crispy.
  5. Take out and place on paper towel to remove excess oil.

Potato Wedges:
6. Toss potato wedges with oil, salt, and spices.

  • Use medium heat to cook chicken evenly inside.
  • Soak potatoes in water for 20 minutes before baking for crispier wedges.
  • Add chili flakes for extra spice.
