INGREDIENTS:
For Fried Chicken:
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 kg halal chicken (pieces)
- 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Oil for frying
For Cheesy Potato Wedges:
- 3 large potatoes (cut into wedges)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Wash and clean the chicken, then marinate it in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and all spices.
- Remove chicken from marinade and coat well in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry chicken on medium heat until golden and crispy.
- Take out and place on paper towel to remove excess oil.
Potato Wedges:
