INGREDIENTS
- 3 large potatoes (boiled & mashed)
- 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
- 1 green chili (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise or cream (optional for creamy filling)
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg (beaten)
- Oil for frying
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, onion, coriander, green chili, spices, and mayonnaise. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix mashed potatoes with cornflour and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Take a portion of potato mixture, flatten it in your hand.
- Add a spoonful of chicken filling in the center.
- Roll and shape into cylinders or oval rolls.
- Dip each roll into beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry rolls on medium heat until golden and crispy.
- Remove and place on paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Serve hot with ketchup or your favorite sauce.
