INGREDIENTS

  • 3 large potatoes (boiled & mashed)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or cream (optional for creamy filling)
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • Oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, onion, coriander, green chili, spices, and mayonnaise. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, mix mashed potatoes with cornflour and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  3. Take a portion of potato mixture, flatten it in your hand.
  4. Add a spoonful of chicken filling in the center.
  5. Roll and shape into cylinders or oval rolls.
  6. Dip each roll into beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and fry rolls on medium heat until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove and place on paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  9. Serve hot with ketchup or your favorite sauce.
