Perfect for holidays, dinners, or party appetizers, they’re simple to prepare and always a crowd favorite.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400–500g fresh green beans (trimmed)
  • 8–10 slices bacon (cut in half)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Toothpicks (for securing)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Wash and trim the green beans, then pat dry.
  3. Take 5–7 green beans and bundle them together.
  4. Wrap each bundle with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, maple syrup (or brown sugar), garlic, and olive oil.
  6. Place bundles on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the glaze over each bundle evenly.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until bacon is crispy.
  9. Serve warm.

TIPS

  • Partially cook bacon for 5 minutes before wrapping for extra crispiness.
  • Don’t overcrowd the tray—this helps bacon crisp better.
  • Add a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy twist.
  • You can air-fry at 180°C for 12–15 minutes as an alternative.
  • Use thick-cut bacon for richer flavor.
