Cheeseburger Egg Rolls are a fun and delicious twist on the classic burger. Packed with juicy ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and flavorful seasonings, all wrapped in a crispy golden shell, they make the perfect appetizer or snack. These crunchy rolls are great for parties, game nights, or whenever you’re craving something cheesy and satisfying.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8–10 egg roll wrappers
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- Oil for frying
Dipping Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat a pan over medium heat and cook ground beef until browned.
- Add chopped onions, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until onions soften.
- Remove from heat and let mixture cool slightly.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese, ketchup, and mustard.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Add 2–3 tablespoons of filling in the center.
- Fold sides inward and roll tightly, sealing edges with a little water.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry egg rolls until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Mix dipping sauce ingredients and serve alongside hot egg rolls.
TIPS
- Do not overfill the wrappers to prevent bursting while frying.
- Seal edges properly to keep filling inside.
- For a healthier option, bake at 200°C (400°F) for 15–20 minutes until crispy.
- You can add pickles inside for an extra burger-style flavor.
- Serve immediately for best crunch and taste.
