INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
- ¼ cup warm milk
- 3 large eggs
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add eggs, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms.
- Add butter slowly while kneading until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf or buns.
- Place in a greased pan, cover, and let rise again for 30–45 minutes.
- Brush with egg wash for a golden crust.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
