  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 1 egg
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar or chocolate for topping

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add egg, butter, flour, and salt. Mix into a soft dough.
  3. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into doughnut shapes.
  6. Let the doughnuts rest for 20 minutes.
  7. Heat oil and fry doughnuts until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Cool slightly and decorate with powdered sugar or chocolate glaze.

💡 Tips

  • Use warm milk, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan while frying.
  • Fry on medium heat for soft and fluffy doughnuts.
  • Add vanilla essence for extra flavor.
  • Fresh doughnuts taste best on the same day.
