Ingredients
- 2 handfuls of dried bay leaves
- 4 cups of water
- 1 large bowl or foot basin
- 1 clean towel
- Cotton pads or soft brush (optional)
Instructions
- Add the dried bay leaves to a pot with 4 cups of water.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool until warm but comfortable.
- Pour the bay leaf water into a foot basin.
- Soak your feet for 20–30 minutes.
- Gently clean around the affected toenails using a soft brush or cotton pad.
- Dry your feet completely, especially between the toes.
- Repeat this routine 3–4 times per week for best results.
Tips
- Always keep your feet clean and dry to prevent fungus from spreading.
- Change socks daily and wear breathable shoes.
- Avoid sharing nail clippers, towels, or footwear.
- Trim affected nails carefully and keep them short.
- Tea tree oil or diluted vinegar can also be used alongside proper nail care.
- If the nail becomes painful, swollen, or severely discolored, consult a doctor or dermatologist.
