INGREDIENTS
- 500g beef steak, thinly sliced
- 2 bell peppers (red & green), sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Salt to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
- Slice the beef into thin strips and mix with soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Cook the beef for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and onions until fragrant.
- Add bell peppers and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
- Return the beef to the pan and add oyster sauce and beef broth.
- Stir well and cook for another 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
TIPS
- Use sirloin or flank steak for tender results.
- Slice beef against the grain for softer meat.
- Don’t overcook the peppers; keep them slightly crunchy.
- Add chili flakes for extra spice.
- A splash of sesame oil gives extra flavor.
