  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

  2. Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the beef for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté garlic and onions until fragrant.
  5. Add bell peppers and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Return the beef to the pan and add oyster sauce and beef broth.
  7. Stir well and cook for another 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Serve hot with steamed rice.

TIPS

  • Use sirloin or flank steak for tender results.
  • Slice beef against the grain for softer meat.
  • Don’t overcook the peppers; keep them slightly crunchy.
  • Add chili flakes for extra spice.
  • A splash of sesame oil gives extra flavor.
