- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 1 egg
Instructions

- Add the egg, flour, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Add softened butter and knead until fully incorporated.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or rolls.
- Place in a greased baking pan, cover, and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Brush the top with butter while warm for a soft crust.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Tips
- Use warm milk, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast.
- Knead thoroughly for a light and fluffy texture.
- For extra softness, replace 2 tablespoons of milk with cream.
- Cover the bread with a clean towel while cooling to keep it soft.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
