Quick 20-Minute Bread

🥖 Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat your pan over low–medium heat (no oven needed). Lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients – flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add milk and oil (or melted butter). Mix until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
  4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently shape into a round loaf (about 1-inch thick).
  5. Place the dough in the preheated pan. Cover with a lid.
  6. Cook on low heat for 8–10 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  7. Carefully flip and cook the other side for another 8–10 minutes.
  8. Remove and let cool slightly before slicing.

⭐ Tips

  • Always cook on low heat to avoid burning the outside while keeping the inside soft.
  • You can add herbs, garlic powder, or shredded cheese for extra flavor.
  • If the bread sounds hollow when tapped, it’s done.
  • Serve warm with butter, jam, or honey.
