Description:
This is my go-to dessert I make at least twice a week! Creamy, smooth, and slightly sweet, it’s a chilled delight that you can prepare in minutes by just blending everything together. Infused with the warm flavors of saffron and cardamom, and topped with crunchy nuts, it’s perfect for mugs or small bowls. Everyone I’ve shared it with keeps asking for more—once you try it, you’ll see why!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Greek yogurt or thick yogurt
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk (adjust to taste)
- ¼ tsp saffron strands soaked in 1 tbsp warm milk
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- 2 tbsp chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds, or cashews)
- 1 tsp rose water (optional, for aroma)
- A few extra saffron strands or nuts for garnish
Instructions:
- In a blender, combine yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, saffron milk, cardamom, and rose water.
- Blend until completely smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Pour the mixture into mugs or small serving bowls.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours before serving.
- Garnish with chopped nuts and a few saffron strands just before serving.
Tips:
- For an even creamier texture, strain yogurt overnight using a muslin cloth to remove excess whey.
- Adjust sweetness according to your preference; you can also use honey instead of condensed milk.
- Make a bigger batch and store in the fridge; it lasts 2–3 days and tastes even better chilled.
- You can also add a pinch of nutmeg or a few drops of vanilla for a slight twist.
