INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup Kulthi Dal (Horse Gram Seeds)
- 3 cups water
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 small piece ginger (grated)
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Pinch of black pepper
- Honey (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Wash the kulthi dal thoroughly.
- Soak it overnight in clean water.
- Add soaked dal and 3 cups water to a pot.
- Boil for 25–30 minutes until soft.
- Add cumin, garlic, ginger, and turmeric.
- Simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Strain the water or enjoy as soup.
- Add lemon juice and black pepper before serving.
