Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese Sandwich

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 slices Italian bread or sourdough bread
  • 1 cooked chicken breast, shredded or sliced
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat a skillet on medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place one slice butter-side down in the pan.
  4. Add mozzarella cheese, cooked chicken, parmesan cheese, and marinara sauce.
  5. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning on top.
  6. Cover with the second bread slice, butter-side up.
  7. Grill for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Slice and serve hot with extra sauce if desired.
