  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Boil or steam cauliflower florets for 5–7 minutes until slightly tender. Drain well.
  3. In a pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly add milk while stirring to make a smooth sauce.
  5. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix until melted.
  6. Place cauliflower in a baking dish and pour cheese sauce over it.
  7. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Add breadcrumbs and Parmesan for a crispy topping (optional).
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool slightly before serving.

TIPS:

  • Don’t overcook the cauliflower; it should stay slightly firm.
  • Add cooked chicken or pasta to make it a full meal.
  • For extra flavor, mix in a pinch of paprika or mustard powder.
  • Use mozzarella for a stretchier cheese texture.
  • Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for a crisp golden top.
