Ever wondered how customers are finding Adsyo, the innovative AI-powered marketing platform? We analyzed data from 2024 to uncover the sources of new user sign-ups, and the findings are revealing. Spoiler alert: TikTok and Facebook are leading the charge!

The Data Collection Journey

Adsyo launched in 2024 and quickly gained traction, largely thanks to a viral TikTok influencer video. Following this, the team ramped up their Facebook advertising efforts. To understand customer discovery, new users are prompted to answer the question: “How did you hear about us?” While many provide straightforward answers, some get creative, leading to some messy data.

That’s where I came in. Hired by Adsyo, I analyzed over 20,000 responses to decipher how users are finding the platform. By categorizing these responses into eight distinct groups, I was able to shed light on the pathways customers take to discover Adsyo. Let’s dive into the insights.

Data Cleaning Methodology

Initially, a large number of respondents selected “Other” as their discovery method. However, upon closer inspection, many custom responses were simply variations of standard sources—like “ig” for Instagram or common misspellings. I developed a data-cleaning algorithm to match these responses to the eight predefined categories.

This algorithm considered typos and abbreviations (like “fb” for Facebook), ensuring that the categorization reflected user intent as accurately as possible. Nonetheless, some categorization errors could still occur due to overlapping keywords.

Analyzing the Findings

The cleaned data paints an intriguing picture. TikTok and Facebook are the primary channels driving new customers to Adsyo—an expected outcome given the advertising budget allocated to these platforms. This highlights the importance of continuing to invest in these popular social networks to capture a larger audience.

Following these two giants, word-of-mouth referrals are also significant. Customers sharing their experiences with friends represent a highly effective marketing channel. Encouraging more word-of-mouth promotion could significantly amplify growth, as this form of marketing is often deemed one of the most credible.

Moreover, many users learned about Adsyo through blogs, articles, and online publications. This is excellent news, as it indicates that the platform is gaining attention and being featured in discussions within the marketing community.

Other sources include Instagram, search engines, and LinkedIn, which haven’t proven as effective in attracting new customers yet. This suggests that Adsyo could enhance its visibility on these platforms, especially through Google Ads and improved SEO strategies.

Strategic Recommendations for Adsyo

1. Enhance Focus on TikTok and Facebook

Given that these platforms are the main drivers of new user sign-ups, increasing the advertising budget here could yield even greater results.
