Comparing & Ordering Numbers
Our grade 1 comparing numbers worksheets are designed to help young learners master the concepts of ordering and comparing numbers. Through these exercises, students will become comfortable using the “greater than”, “less than”, and “equal to” symbols, as well as arranging numbers in ascending or descending order.
Ordering Numbers
- Ordering Numbers (Up/Down): These worksheets provide exercises where students practice ordering numbers in both ascending (up) and descending (down) sequences.
- Ordering Numbers 0-30: In this activity, students will learn to arrange smaller numbers within the range of 0-30. For example, arranging 1, 4, and 13 in order.
- Ordering Numbers 0-100: This exercise challenges students to order larger numbers up to 100, such as placing 10, 35, and 99 in the correct sequence.
Comparing Numbers
- More Than, Less Than Symbols: Students will be introduced to the essential symbols for comparing numbers—greater than (>), less than (<), and equal to (=).
- Comparing Numbers 0-30: These exercises focus on comparing smaller numbers within the range of 0-30, helping students understand how one number relates to another. For instance, identifying that 28 is greater than 6 (28 > 6).
- Comparing Numbers 0-100: In this activity, students will compare larger numbers up to 100, such as determining that 16 is less than 98 (16 < 98).
This post is ideal for educators or parents seeking resources to support first graders in their journey to understand and compare numbers effectively.
