Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Rinse the lemons and limes well, then slice them into thin rounds.
  2. Add the garlic cloves and citrus slices to a clean glass jar.
  3. If using ginger, add the slices to the jar as well.
  4. Warm the water slightly—not hot, just warm enough to help the honey dissolve.
  5. Stir the honey into the warm water until smooth.
  6. Pour the honey mixture over the ingredients in the jar.
  7. Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate for 24 hours before using.
  8. Each day, stir or gently shake the jar to keep the ingredients mixed.
  9. Take 1 tablespoon each morning or mix a spoonful into a glass of warm water for a soothing drink.
